RAMS for plumbers: common questions

What should a plumbing RAMS include?
Hot works controls (heat mat, extinguisher, 60-minute fire watch), water isolation before cutting pipework, legionella awareness on stored/stagnant systems, and safe working in lofts and cramped spaces. All pre-filled from the plumbing hazard library, ready to adapt.
Does it cover hot works and fire watch?
Yes — the method statement includes soldering with a heat-resistant mat, an extinguisher to hand, and a 60-minute fire watch after the torch is last used. Adjust it to your site and any hot-works permit in place.
