What should a groundworks RAMS cover?
Excavation collapse (support, battering, exclusion), striking buried services (scan, CAT and Genny, safe digging), contact with moving plant (segregation, banksman), and manual handling. Start from construction and add excavation-specific controls.
Does it cover buried services and excavation support?
The construction base covers plant and general controls; excavation collapse and buried services need site-specific detail (service drawings, trench support design). Add these — they're the highest-consequence risks on the job.
